Psychometrists

April Boreham, MA, MBA, LPA 

April Boreham joined the Neuropsychology department in August 2020, which initiated a move from the coastal waters of Corpus Christi to the rolling hills of San Antonio. She received a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi in 2014, obtained licensure as a Psychological Associate in 2016, and then completed a Master of Business Administration in 2018. Her professional toolbox includes clinical interviewing skills, individual/family psychotherapy, legal and forensic evaluations, and supervised visitation services. In her free time, she enjoys attending sporting events, managing a professional photography business with her husband, golfing, live concerts and water sports.

Laureen Phelps, MS 

Laureen Phelps joined the Department of Neurology at UT Health San Antonio as a psychometrist in 2023. She obtained her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Texas at San Antonio.

Claudia P. Quintana, MS

Claudia Quintana is one of the Spanish-English bilingual psychometrists at the Biggs Institute for Alzheimer’s and Neurodegenerative Diseases and the Department of Neurology at UT Health San Antonio. She graduated from the University of Texas at Tyler with an MS. in Clinical Psychology in 2019. She has experience working with a variety of different patient populations, including individuals with brain injury, stroke, epilepsy, and dementia. She is passionate about improving access to care for predominantly Spanish-speaking populations. She is eager to improve outreach amongst medically underserved populations and provide excellent care to all. During her free time, Claudia enjoys watching old movies, reading and cooking .

Keisha Simonoff-Velazquez, BS 

Keisha Simonoff-Velazque was born in Puerto Rico and moved to San Antonio in 2017.  She obtained a bachelor’s degree in Speech and Language therapy and has worked in the medical field with over 10 years of experience in administrative and clerical work. Keisha joined UT Health San Antonio in 2019 and started growing and expanding her knowledge as she became a part of the Neurology Department and the Biggs Institute in 2021. From scheduling appointments and reviewing referrals, Keisha will be transitioning to her new role as psychometrist, where she will be applying what she has learned with her degree and is eager to keep growing as a professional. In her free time, she loves to travel, spend time with her family and friends, listen to music and watch movies.

Josie Two Crow, MA 

Josie Two Crow joined UT Health San Antonio as a Spanish-English bilingual psychometrist after returning to the mainland from the Aloha State. She joined the team in 2019 and previously worked as a psychometrist in the Brain Injury Clinic at Desmond T. Doss Health Clinic on Schofield Barracks, HI. Josie graduated with a Master of Arts in Forensic Psychology from Argosy University-Hawaii, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Chaminade University of Honolulu. She has an extensive background on the administrative side of the house as well, having worked as a health system specialist for 10 years prior to becoming a psychometrist. Josie is also an active member of the Army Reserves and has enjoyed all-expenses-paid trips to Afghanistan, American Samoa, Malaysia, Kuwait and Germany. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, hiking, cycling, shopping, and spending time with family. Although she loves the ocean and misses the beautiful beaches of Hawaii, she has become a fan of “floating the river” in Texas.
