My commitment to clinical excellence and expanding neurology expertise has propelled my career for almost ten years as a consultant neurology and epileptologist. Since the neurological effects of epilepsy often intersect with cognitive loss, I am one of the few professionals in the field with dual competence in behavioral neurology and epilepsy. For South Texas, where the underprivileged and varied aging population creates a growing need for integrated care, this combination offers substantial opportunity for making a difference. I have a strong desire to serve my community, so the chance to improve the health of patients and their families in San Antonio and beyond excites me. My enthusiasm for improving clinical treatment and research is fueled by UT Health’s collaborative atmosphere and the city’s dynamic, varied community. I am driven to close gaps in
neurology and contribute significantly to the treatment of epilepsy and dementia, making sure that research breakthroughs directly benefit those who need them most. I am committed to both science and service.
