Support Groups

We recognize dementia affects more than just the patient. We now offer free support groups open to anyone with a loved one diagnosed with dementia.

Support groups are facilitated by our certified counselors to provide encouraging discussion in a supportive and informative environment with others who are experiencing similar situations.

Support Group for Adult Children of Parents Living with Dementia

The adult children of parents living with dementia support group is free and offered twice a month for adults with parents diagnosed with dementia or Alzheimer’s disease.

Support Group for Caregivers and Individuals Living with a Lewy Body Dementia Diagnosis

This free support group is open to any caregiver and individual living with Lewy Body Dementia. While caregivers are attending the support group, individuals living with Lewy Body Dementia are welcome to attend a group session led by our occupational therapist that will focus on directed therapeutic movement, cognitive stimulation and social engagement.

Introducing Memory and Music with the San Antonio Symphony

Research has shown listening to music can reduce anxiety, improve cognitive function and behavior that is common in the middle-stages of dementia.

Dedicated to transforming the treatment of dementia, the Biggs Institute invites all individuals with a diagnosis of dementia and their caregivers to a free admission open rehearsal with the San Antonio Symphony.
