Support groups
Dementia is a progressive disease that brings many emotions for the patient and their loved ones.
We offer a variety of free, online support groups for people with dementia and their caregivers to support you throughout the diagnosis.
ReCollections at the San Antonio Museum of Art
Join us for a dementia friendly day of viewing and creating art at the San Antonio Art Museum. Lunch, art supplies, parking and admission to the museum for the day are included with free registration.
Online yoga
Physical activity has a number of benefits for those living with dementia and their caregivers. This class will provide you an opportunity to engage in gentle physical exercise from the comfort of your own home.
Memory and Music
Enjoy live musical performances that are staffed by our health care team members and volunteers to provide you a supportive and comfortable environment.

South Texas Alzheimer’s Conference
In partnership with the Alzheimer’s Association, the Biggs Institute presents a conference for the general public and health care professionals to learn the latest discoveries in dementia.
Dialogue on Dementia
Learn about groundbreaking research on the onset and progression of dementia in open discussion with world-renowned physicians, scientists and other experts.
Caring for the Caregiver Program
Resources for family caregivers of people living with dementia by the UT Health San Antonio School of Nursing. The program works to improve quality of life for caregivers through classes, workshops and social events.
Grand rounds
Health care students and professionals are invited to join us for presentations by research experts on neurodegenerative diseases, Alzheimer’s and other dementias.
