Absolutely!

Available volunteer opportunities include:

Set-up Volunteer: For this volunteer opportunity, you must also be able to be at the walk no later than 6:30am on October 21, 2023 to set-up our table. After set-up is complete you can volunteer for another volunteer opportunity. You will need to be on stand-by at 9:00am to help break down the table.

Meet and Greet Volunteer: Walkers are very interested to learn more about what programs are available to patients and their families and the latest and greatest in dementia research. Meet and Greet Volunteers are needed on stand-by to answer questions and distribute relevant patient care materials about programs and services available at the Biggs Institute from 7:00-8:30am. After 8:30am, you may join the team to walk.

Swag Item Volunteer: We have a few fun Biggs Institute/UT Health San Antonio items to give away to walk day participants. For this volunteer opportunity, you will need to be available from 7:00-8:30am to distribute items, direct walkers to a meet and greet volunteer if they have questions, condense boxes and throw away boxes as they empty. After 8:30am, you may join the team to walk.

If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Amy at saklada@uthscsa.edu with the opportunity you would like to volunteer for and your t-shirt size.
