DESCRIPTION:“The Essentials of Caregiving” is an eight week series of classes focused on providing support and tools a caregiver may need as they care for a family member living with a diagnosis of Alzheimer’s or a related dementia. Participants may register for the series at any time.The “Essentials of Caregiving: Navigating Challenging Behaviors” session will provide helpful strategies and tools to support you, as a caregiver, as your loved one’s behavior might begin to change and vary.Registration is required.This event offers a Cognitive Engagement Program for people diagnosed with dementia to participate in a tailored activity with a health care professional while family members and caregivers attend the event.
