DESCRIPTION:Caregiver Skills Training Workshops, offered by the Caring for the Caregiver program, offers three-hour sessions facilitated by health care professionals for family caregivers to have hands-on training on:<ul> 	<li>Transfers and fall prevention</li> 	<li>Nutrition management</li> 	<li>Speech and communication</li> 	<li>Nursing care</li></ul>In addition, participants may choose any three of the below topics for more information:<ul> 	<li>Virtual dementia tour</li> 	<li>Dental hygiene</li> 	<li>Audiology</li> 	<li>Physical therapy</li> 	<li>Difficult behaviors</li> 	<li>Urology</li></ul>Refreshments will be provided. Registration is required.Our Cognitive Engagement Program is for family members with dementia or another chronic condition. They will be guided by a health care professional in a tailored activity while their family caregiver attends the Essentials of Caregiving classes.
