Online andEvent Details:
Join the Caring for the Caregiver program to learn about how to be more confident when providing complex care to a person living with dementia. Family caregivers to persons living with dementia often manage medications, monitor pain, manage incontinence and assist with mobility challenges with little guidance on how to provide these types of medical care tasks.
The Learning Skills Together workshop was developed by healthcare faculty to help family caregivers of a person living with dementia learn how to provide worry-free, complex care.
This Learning Skills Together series will take place from Tuesday, October 5 to Tuesday, November 2 from 3:00-4:30 pm at San Antonio Oasis. The first and final sessions will be held in-person, while sessions 2, 3, and 4 will take place online using Zoom.
Participants will be asked to review video lectures lasting approximately 30 minutes before each live session. During live sessions, we will discuss learning content as a group. We ask that participants be able to commit to at least 4 of the 5 sessions.
This workshop is part of the UT Health San Antonio School of Nursing Caring for the Caregiver program.
